Highlighting multiplying movements of simple and micro churches across Australia.
What is a simple or micro church?
These forms of church are small, Jesus-centered communities empowered by the spirit, creatively engaging a particular network or neighborhood, in times of worship, community, and mission, to make disciples and multiply communities in partnership with others to the glory of God. These communities exist all over Australia, within many different denominations and traditions.
They are sometimes referred to as microchurches, simple churches, missional communities, and house churches. There are some differences between these terms, mostly around leadership and governance as well as the relationship to existing churches, but Micro Movements seeks to support all forms that are committed to contextualised mission and discipleship.
